Do you rent Yamaha instruments?

Yes, two ways. Yamaha is one of the manufacturers in our B Line, along with Jupiter, Selmer, Buffet and Gemeinhardt. We also rent a Premium Yamaha Line on five instruments, in the specific models school programs most often specify: the YFL-221 flute, YCL-255 clarinet, YTR-2330 trumpet, YSL-354 trombone, and the YAS series alto saxophone. That line can be selected on the rental form. Supply is limited and does not restock quickly.

Why directors ask for it. Yamaha student models are well made and consistent, and a director with a room full of them knows exactly what to expect. When a director names a specific model they usually have a reason, and we would rather hear it from you before your student turns up with something else.

How our own instruments compare. Everyone who works here plays, and nothing goes into our fleet that we would not be willing to play ourselves. Our A Line is built to specifications we set, written to match or exceed what the major manufacturers put into their student models. The practical difference is what happens at the end: an A Line instrument becomes your family’s property after three years of rental, which is not true of a B Line instrument regardless of the name on it.

If a particular model matters to your director, tell us early. Instruments for a school delivery are allocated in the weeks before term starts, and a request made in August is far easier to fill than the same request made in October.
