A rental program at your school, at no cost to you.
You know the frustrations already: instruments that arrive badly set up, a repair that takes three weeks in the middle of concert season, a student sitting out because nobody can get their horn working. We built our program around fixing exactly that.
We work with private and public schools across New York City, Fairfield County and Westchester — including Collegiate, Brearley, Trinity, Calhoun, Avenues, Concordia Conservatory and Ethical Culture Fieldston.

“It feels as if they are partners with us in helping our students make music. They supply us with excellent instruments, and they listen to and are responsive to our needs. They provide us with a level of service and support that we hadn’t imagined possible. It is a pleasure having them on our team.”
Don Sorel
Head of the Music Department, Collegiate School
What a partnership includes
Every arrangement is built around what your program actually needs. If you want your own rental department, we can set that up. If you just want rental agreements handled for your students, we can do that instead.
Instruments, set up your way
Strings, bows, rosin, chin rests, reeds, valve oils — specified how you want them, before the instrument reaches the student. We’ll also order the books and accessories your program uses.
Delivery to the school
Instruments arrive at the school at the start of the year, free in the fall. No families driving to Norwalk, no chasing parents who haven’t collected.
Every size, always
Our string department stocks every fractional size, so when your students grow we upgrade them — free of charge, and without a gap in their playing.
Loaners during repair
When an instrument comes to us, a loaner goes back — so no student sits out of rehearsal waiting for a repair.
Stock room organization
If you keep instruments on site, we’ll help organize the storage and set up a system to track what you have, what condition it’s in, and what’s been repaired.
Faculty instruments
Complimentary instruments for your teaching staff. Ask us about it when we talk — it’s part of the package and people are often surprised.
We come to you — weekly, every other week, or monthly.
This is the part most rental companies can’t offer, because most rental companies don’t have a repair bench. We set up scheduled service visits at whatever interval suits your program, and our technicians work through your instruments on site. And because we’re local to New York City and Connecticut, we can be more flexible and responsive than a company from out-of-state visiting you once a quarter.
Pegs slip, strings break, cracks open in winter, valves stick. Caught on a routine visit, those are minutes of work. Left until a student can’t play, they become a repair, a gap in your section, and a phone call from a parent.
Big concert coming up? We’ll be there. Our luthiers have worked on instruments backstage at Carnegie Hall before a performance.
How it starts
Before setting up an account, we come to you for a first meeting — bringing instruments, so you can see and play what your students would actually be renting. Nobody should commit a program to a supplier on the strength of a brochure.
From there we build the arrangement around what you need. There’s no standard package and no obligation from the first conversation.

“The instruments the students have rented have been superior to all and any other rental stores in the region. The quality has brought great joy and instilled confidence to students who are much of the time receiving inadequate rentals from other sources.”
Roxanna Zampieri
Music Director, Whitby School
Let’s talk about your program.
Tell us what you teach, how many students, and what’s going wrong with your current arrangement. We’ll tell you honestly whether we can do better.
